The Bay Area Chapter kicked off their first event of 2025 on March 15th with a meet-and-greet at the Cal vs Stanford women’s dual match. The event was a fantastic opportunity to meet and reconnect with fellow college tennis alumni while enjoying some great tennis.

Many attendees brought their families and spent time reminiscing about the good old college days! For others, it was an opportunity to network and find new opportunities to get involved in the sport. Overall, the event was a great success.
“I’m so grateful that I could attend the ITA alumni event. Not only did I meet other alums who shared college tennis experience, but I also made connections with the sport I love again. I’m excited to attend more events like this one in the future!”
Nicole Shiau, Academy of Art University ‘23 alum

The legendary Dick Gould, former Stanford Men’s Tennis Head Coach, attended the kickoff event and it was great to have his support and encouragement to continue organizing this type of event.
A huge thank you to the USTA NorCal section for their invaluable support and collaboration in organizing this event! Its success would not have been possible without their efforts.
Additionally, thank you to all who attended the event! Clarisse Baca, Bay Area chapter coordinator, shares that the chapter’s next event will be a happy hour during the 2025 Laver Cup – date and time to be determined!
