The Washington, D.C. chapterĀ of the ITA College Tennis Alumni network held a successful inaugural event on Wednesday, May 29th. Organized by David Gollob (Yale, 1990) and Sam Malech (Pomona-Pitzer, 2018), the event accomplished its goals: 13 former players attended representing 9 different schools.
We had everyone introduce themselves, state their college and graduation year, and then share a fun fact. Most people knew each other, or at least some of the group, but we all learned new stuff from this introduction. Lots of fun connections were uncovered.

The overwhelming sentiment was positive towards the College Tennis Alumni Network, with attendees interested in pushing for similar events in the future to encourage this type of tennis community building, including a potential monthly tournament for alumni network members looking for competitive matches reminiscent of a college tennis environment.
